Noble Twist Taphouse is a craft brewery, pizza kitchen, and neighborhood gathering place located in downtown Saugatuck, Michigan. Built on a passion for great beer, great food, and genuine hospitality, Noble Twist was founded by longtime craft beverage professionals Wes Noble and Brooks Twist with the goal of creating a destination where locals and visitors can relax, connect, and enjoy something made with care.
Our concept blends house-made beer and spirits, New Haven–style pizza, local wine, and a laid-back Michigan coast atmosphere. Whether you're stopping in after the beach, visiting from Chicago, or meeting friends for dinner, Noble Twist is designed to feel welcoming, authentic, and memorable.
Meet the Founders
Wes Noble – Brewing, Operations, and Craftsmanship
Wes Noble has spent his career in the craft beverage industry, working in brewing, engineering, and beverage production at the highest level. He studied chemistry before earning a certification in Brewery Engineering and began his professional brewing career at Founders Brewing Company, one of the most respected craft breweries in the United States.
At Founders, Wes served as Fermentation Manager, overseeing production quality during a period of rapid national growth. He later worked as a commissioning engineer for Krones AG, a global beverage equipment manufacturer that builds systems for companies including Heineken, Anheuser-Busch, Molson-Coors, and leading craft breweries around the world. His work took him to brewing facilities across multiple countries, giving him deep experience in both large-scale and craft production.
At Noble Twist, Wes leads brewing, product development, and daily operations - ensuring every beer, spirit, and guest experience reflects the same attention to quality that built his career.
Brooks Twist – Finance, Strategy, and Hospitality
Brooks Twist built his career at the intersection of hospitality, finance, and small business operations. He first fell in love with the restaurant industry working in kitchens and brewpubs, including Brewery Vivant in Grand Rapids, where he helped manage restaurant operations, costing, and financial systems during a period of major growth.
After moving into finance and accounting, Brooks founded Grand Capital Management, providing accounting, CFO, and operational advisory services to small businesses across West Michigan. His background in both hospitality and finance gives Noble Twist a strong foundation for long-term growth, disciplined operations, and sustainable business practices.
At Noble Twist, Brooks oversees finance, compliance, and business strategy while helping shape the guest experience, brand, and culture of the taphouse.
Built for Saugatuck
Saugatuck is one of Michigan’s most loved lake towns, known for its art scene, tourism, beaches, and food culture. Noble Twist was created to be a place that fits naturally into that tradition — a downtown brewpub where visitors can experience fresh beer, great pizza, and the energy of the lakeshore.
Our space is designed to feel both modern and comfortable, with an open, social atmosphere that works just as well for families, date nights, and summer crowds as it does for locals in the off-season.
